Welcome
Education advocacy, soul care, and social justice are things I deeply care about.
Education Advocacy

Teaching is the space where my love for children and patiently unpacking truth comes alive. It fuels me with joy to teach and serve in communities similar to those of my youth. I earnestly believe ALL students can learn. Helping students unlock this truth for themselves is one simple form of resistance and advocacy.
Self Care = Soul Care

Care of my soul is prioritized so that I might rightfully care for the souls of others. We are our brothers keeper. When one rises, we all rise. Spiritual discipline, mindfulness, and exercise are practices which keep me grounded.
Social Justice

Systemic injustice exists in every sphere of society. Gaps are widening across socioeconomic lines. I believe WE are the ones we’re waiting for. Let’s get to work.
In the end we will not remember the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends.

About Me
I am a proud southerner turned foodie who loves people more than I love good food and a good read. I candidly share my predilections [bias, leaning, weakness & predisposition] on this blog.
